Courses and Clubs at Kennaway House
One of our main visions for Kennaway House is that it becomes a centre for adult and community learning, providing opportunities to be creative, to discover more about our region and history, to develop old interests and explore new ones.
We would be very interested to hear from tutors with ideas for courses.
Course prices may vary depending on the size of room choice. The average rate for first floor classes is £30 per session.
Work with schools
We are committed to working with local schools to support learning in the arts, history and the local environment. Kennaway House is also an ideal venue for courses and meetings for teachers. Sidmouth Poetry Readers
Meet here on the second Wednesday of each month from 10:00m until 12:00noon to read and enjoy poetry. Every month a member will introduce a particular poet or genre, after which other members have the opportunity to read poems they have brought along by the same author. We have a varied programme looking at current poets as well as those from previous generations.
Two Coffee Mornings are arranged during the year at The Victoria Hotel, where different local poets come and give readings from their work.
We welcome new members to come and join us. Join us for two free sessions and then we will ask you to pay an annual subsription.
